Altar consecrated at UOC church in Rakhiv, Zakarpattia Region

The consecration was performed by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv and Bishop Mark of Rakhiv.
On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the altar of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s Church of St. Spyridon of Trimythous in the city of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia Region, was consecrated, according to the press service of the Khust Eparchy.
The consecration rite and the Divine Liturgy were led by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv. He was concelebrated by Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, vicar of the Khust Eparchy, along with local clergy.
During the service, special prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine and for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After the Liturgy, the ruling hierarch of the Khust Eparchy congratulated the faithful on this significant event in the life of the parish and delivered an archpastoral address.
As previously reported by the UOJ, the foundation of a new church of the Khust Eparchy of the UOC was recently laid in the village of Shayan.
