Pope Leo calls the war in Ukraine “senseless”

The Pontiff emphasized that he shares Ukrainians’ pain over victims and prisoners.
Pope Leo called the war in Ukraine “senseless” and stressed that Ukrainians should rely on God’s grace.
“I want to express my closeness to suffering Ukraine – to the children, youth, elderly, and especially to the families mourning their loved ones. I share your pain over the prisoners and victims of this senseless war,” the Pope wrote on his X page. According to him, Ukrainians’ faith is “under severe trial.”
“To believe does not mean to already have all the answers, but to trust that God is with us and grants us His grace, that He will have the final word and that life will triumph over death,” the Pontiff underscored.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Pope Leo had a conversation with Putin.
