Church foundation laid in honor of Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women in Kurylivka

The rite of laying the foundation for the church in honor of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women was performed by Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kamianske and Tsarychanka.
On June 15, 2025, the First Sunday after Pentecost – the day commemorating All Saints – a solemn ceremony was held in the village of Kurylivka, Dnipro District, to bless the foundation stone of a new Ukrainian Orthodox Church temple.
The rite of laying the foundation for the church in honor of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women was performed by Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kamianske and Tsarychanka. His Eminence was concelebrated by clergy of the Kamianske Eparchy as well as visiting priests.
At the conclusion of the service, the metropolitan addressed the faithful with an archpastoral word, stressing the importance of church unity and living faith in the life of the Orthodox community, and offering his blessing for the construction of the new church.
The church in Kurylivka is expected to become a spiritual center for local residents, uniting believers through prayer, worship, and works of mercy.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a UOC hierarch in the Kamianske Eparchy had blessed bells for two churches.
