Under heavy police protection, participants of a gay pride march walked through the streets of Kyiv.

On June 14, 2025, the eve of All Saints’ Day, a gay pride march took place in Kyiv. With a large police presence ensuring security, around a hundred participants marched along Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street and Yevhen Chykalenko Street (formerly Pushkinska). They carried signs reading, “We fight for everyone – equal rights for everyone,” “This is all me: a person, an activist, a soldier, a gay man,” and “Don’t tell us ‘now is not the time for rights’ while we’re defending Ukraine.” Participants also carried EU flags.

In order to facilitate the event, authorities closed the Teatralna and Zoloti Vorota metro stations for entry and exit.

At the same time, a group of radicals marched down Khreshchatyk, chanting slogans such as “Send the police to the front.”

Earlier, the UOJ reported that representatives of the OCU had suggested relocating the gay pride event from Kyiv to Donbas.
