Korets Сonvent honors Intercessor for Sinners Icon of the Mother of God

After the Divine Liturgy, a cross procession with the miracle-working icon was held around the convent.
On June 12, the day of veneration of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Intercessor for Sinners,” a solemn service was held at the Holy Trinity Convent in Korets, Rivne Oblast, the press service of the Rivne Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by Archbishop Damian of Fastiv, concelebrated by Archbishop Oleksandr of Horodyshche, Archbishop Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishop Ambrose of Zghurivka, and numerous clergy from various eparchies.
Among those praying were abbesses of other monasteries, monastics, and a large number of pilgrims and faithful who came to the convent to share in the spiritual joy with Abbess Parfenia and the sisters.
During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for the nation’s defenders, for the suffering, the poor, the sick, and for all those in need of the special help and intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Following the Liturgy, a cross procession was held around the monastery with the icon “Intercessor for Sinners,” during which clergy and laity once again raised their prayers to the Mother of God, asking for her mercy and protection.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Rivne TRC had released a detained UOC priest.
