Albanian Primate to make peaceful visit to Constantinople

Archbishop Ioannis will conduct a joint service with Patriarch Bartholomew.

The Ecumenical Patriarchate announced the upcoming peaceful visit of Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana and All Albania.

Archbishop Ioannis will arrive in Istanbul on June 13, 2025, along with his delegation. On June 14, at 11:00 AM, the Primate of the Albanian Church will conduct a thanksgiving service at the Holy Patriarchal Cathedral. After this, he will be officially received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in the Throne Hall.

On June 15, All Saints' Day, Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Ioannis will jointly conduct a solemn Divine Liturgy in concelebration of bishops from both Churches.

Following the Liturgy, there will be an exchange of official speeches between the Primates of the two Churches.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the enthronement of the new Archbishop of Albania took place.
