Holy Spirit Church in Chabyn village consecrates new altar

Bishop Hilarion, vicar of the Mukachevo Eparchy, officiated the service.
On June 8, 2025, the feast of Pentecost, a new Holy Table was consecrated and the Divine Liturgy celebrated at the Holy Spirit Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Chabyn, Mukachevo District, Zakarpattia, according to the diocesan press service.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod, the festive service was led by Bishop Hilarion of Svaliava.
The UOC hierarch spoke to the faithful about the spiritual significance of the consecration of the Holy Table as a symbol of the parish's renewal and revival.
Bishop Hilarion thanked Archimandrite Sebastian (Roshynets) for his zealous ministry and care for the church and parish, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the faithful for their generosity, prayers, and love for the house of God.
In conclusion, the bishop conveyed Metropolitan Theodore’s blessing and wished all present spiritual joy, unity, strength in faith, and peace in their hearts and homes.
