In Saint Petersburg, more than 100,000 Muslims gathered for prayer.

On June 6, 2025, more than 250,000 Muslims took to the streets of Moscow to celebrate one of the main Islamic holidays – Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha).

According to preliminary data, about 250,000 people gathered for the morning prayer at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque on Prospekt Mira. Services were also held at other mosques in the capital.

Due to the influx of believers, the Prospekt Mira metro station was partially closed from the night. Traffic restrictions are in place in the area of the prayer, with reinforced police and National Guard patrols.

In Saint Petersburg, more than 100,000 Muslims attended the prayer. Moskovsky Prospekt in the city center is closed, and temporary traffic restrictions remain in place throughout the day.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that almost 250,000 Muslims prayed in Moscow on Kurban Bayram.
