Against Tomos: Dumenko discuss support for Ukrainians in Denmark with Lutherans

The head of the OCU is establishing international connections to promote his structure abroad.
On June 5, 2025, the head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko met with representatives of the Lutheran Church of Denmark. His residence was attended by Niels Nymann Eriksen, Lars Obel, and Anton Pil, reports the press service of the OCU.
The parties discussed social assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Denmark and possible joint projects. The meeting was also attended by the OCU cleric Serhiy Berezhnoi, who deals with the Ukrainian diaspora in this country. According to Ukrainian media reports, Berezhnoi, with the support of Ukrainian diplomats, regularly conducts "services" in Danish cities.
It should be noted that according to the provisions of the Tomos, the OCU does not have the right to independently carry out church activities outside Ukraine. Under the conditions of this document, the Ukrainian diaspora is managed only by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that after the meeting with Dumenko, a criminal case was initiated against the acting head of the Lavra.
