"We must be one nation under God," Trump in U.S. National Day of Prayer event

Donald Trump once again stated that he is bringing religion back to the country.
On May 1, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump held an event in the Rose Garden of the White House in honor of America's National Day of Prayer. The live broadcast was streamed on the White House YouTube channel.
During his speech, the American President emphasized his intention to root out anti-Christian prejudices.
"We are bringing religion back to our country, and we are doing it quickly and strongly – because for America to be a great nation, we must always be one nation under God," he said.
According to Donald Trump, when the American people turn to God in prayer, they continue a tradition that "is older than our very independence".
"Nearly 250 years ago, on June 12, 1775, the Continental Congress had a day of fasting and prayer so that Americans fighting for liberty could seek the help of the Almighty," the U.S. President said.
As the UOJ reported, on Bright Monday, April 21, U.S. President Donald Trump promised that religion will return to America and shared that he honors Jesus Christ.
