Russia announces ceasefire in honor of Victory Day in World War II

A unilateral ceasefire has been declared from 00:00 on May 8 until 00:00 on May 11.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ceasefire in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in World War II, according to the Kremlin's website.
The ceasefire was declared unilaterally, starting from midnight between May 7 and May 8 and lasting until midnight between May 10 and May 11. The announcement states that "all hostilities will be suspended during this period."
The Kremlin expressed the view that "the Ukrainian side should follow this example."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Russia had announced an Easter ceasefire.
