Satanic Mass to be held at Kansas Capitol, media reports
The planned ceremony has sparked outrage among Catholics.
March 12, 2025 – On March 28, 2025, the American Kansas State Capitol will host a “Black Mass” organized by the group The Satanic Grotto, with the approval of the Capitol’s event coordinator, according to the French publication Tribune Chrétienne. The ceremony’s goal is reportedly to dedicate the Capitol to Satan, sparking outrage and a strong backlash from the Catholic community.
Opposition to the event has come from Benedictine College and the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP), which have organized a prayer rally “to atone for this blasphemous act.”
Additionally, a petition calling on Kansas Governor Laura Kelly to cancel the event has already gathered over 32,750 signatures.
Christians are being urged to take action by contacting the Capitol Hill event coordinator, Kathleen Williams, to demand the cancellation of this Satanic event.
Earlier, it was reported that Satanists had set up a "Satanic altar" inside the Iowa State Capitol, sparking controversy and opposition from religious communities.
