Patriarch Bartholomew has tested positive for coronavirus.
Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople contracted the coronavirus, reports Romfea.
COVID-19 was diagnosed after passing another routine testing.
Patriarch Bartholomew, "who is fully vaccinated, is currently showing mild symptoms, but his general condition is good," the report says.
Immediately after being diagnosed, he visited Istanbul Central Hospital for further preventive examination. The Phanar head expressed gratitude to those who are worried about his health and urged the faithful to follow the recommendations of doctors, as well as get vaccinated.
As reported earlier, according to Patriarch Bartholomew, he has been vaccinated four times.
