ES makes excuses that the ban on UOC benefits Ukraine, not Poroshenko
Those who say that the ban on the UOC benefits the ES party are playing on the fears of the President, according to Pavlenko.
MP from the European Solidarity Party Rostyslav Pavlenko reacted to the publication by political analyst Kostiantyn Bondarenko, in which the latter emphasized that the party of Poroshenko is lobbying for the adoption of a notorious bill that effectively bans the UOC, and therefore, the ban on the Church will not boost Zelensky's ratings. The press service of the EU party published Pavlenko's justifications on July 1.
The MP stated that such a claim by the political analyst is "an attempt to play on the fears of Zelensky and his office". According to him, the draft law benefits not Poroshenko, but "it benefits Ukraine – because it cuts off a powerful and 'most famous', speaking in the terminology of the article, tentacle of the 'Russian world'."
"That is why Poroshenko and 'European Solidarity' support it," he convinces his readers.
As the UOJ wrote, Bondarenko believes that the authorities will not ban the UOC now but will continue repressions against it.
