UOC priest and prisoner of conscience, Father Serhiy Chertylin calls on believers not to give up and not to lose faith.

"Those who think that a person's life is worthless are mistaken, our life is the greatest gift from God, which He protects," wrote Archpriest Serhiy Chertylin of the UOC in his Telegram channel. The priest described the "everyday life of confinement" in pretrial detention and emphasized that despite the difficulties, he does not lose hope and believes in God's help and justice.

"Many consider me naive, but to accept that the system is invincible is to surrender without a fight, because our lives are at stake," he said.

Father Serhiy said he is not going to give up and believes that truth will prevail.

"Those who think that a person's life is worthless are mistaken, our life is the greatest gift from God, which He protects," undescored the priest. "Every day is a heavy trial, but no one ever said it would be easy. Every believer must understand now that it's not scary to end up behind bars, it's scary to lose yourself and your faith."

As the UOJ reported, the court left Orthodox journalists and a priest in pretrial detention for another three months.
