UOJ journalist’s lawyer: Judges do not take independent decisions
The defender of the UOJ employee said that Ukraine essentially ceased to be a state governed by the rule of law.
The lawyer of the UOJ journalist Valery Stupnytsky, who was detained by the SBU, said that with regard to his client, the judge did not make an independent decision but only followed instructions from above.
"It is very disappointing that this happens in our state, which, according to the Constitution, is de jure the rule of law. Now we are convinced that the words 'rule of law' should be taken in inverted commas," he noted.
As it was previously reported, the lawyer of the UOJ journalist Valery Stupnitsky, who was detained by the SBU, said that the content of the case against the journalist indicates a political order.
