In Kherson, St Catherine’s Cathedral of UOC again suffers from shelling
The facade and roof of the ancient Kherson Cathedral of the Great Martyr Catherine were damaged and windows were broken as a result of shelling.
On the night from 26 to 27 December 2023, one of the oldest temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, St. Catherine's Cathedral (consecrated in 1786), suffered from shelling, reports the press service of the Kherson Eparchy of the UOC.
It is noted that as a result of a direct hit of shells on the Church territory, the facade and roof of the temple were damaged, and the windows were broken.
As earlier reported, St. Catherine’s Cathedral came under fire on 3 August 2023.
