Matteo Salvini has commented on the actions of the Ukrainian authorities and Phanar’s intervention into the UOC’s canonical territory.
Religious problems in Ukraine can provoke a war, Italian Vice Prime Minister, Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said in an interview with the Austrian newspaper “Der Standard”.
He commented on the intervention of the Ukrainian authorities in the life of the UOC: "If the political leadership tries to subdue the Church, it does not bring anything good."
During a meeting with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on October 16, 2018, the Constantinople Exarchs compared his actions with the actions of St. Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostle.
