3.5 million in taxes paid by Greek Church

August 18-19, 2016, the meeting of the Standing Holy Synod of the Greek Church, under the chairmanship of Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece took place, reports Romfea.

During yesterday's and today's session the Holy Synod of Bishops confirmed the minutes of the Authorization.

Subsequently updated: On the subject of those technological tools (hardware-software), by which they ensure proper operation of the site of the Historic Archive of the Church of Greece (IAEE); On the attainment of progress of digitization Program under the title: "Digitization of Historical Archive of the Church of Greece and creation - providing electronic value added services"; On the Russian EOT document, Ukraine and CIS on topic: "Official invitation to the Joint Committee on Religious Tourism"; On 21.7.2016 Notice from the Ministry of Justice for decriminalization of malicious blasphemy and violation of the Divine"; laying down a final list of clerics and candidates to be recorded in the inventory of prelacy electable.

The Standing Holy Synod approved the Report of Revenues - Expenses of the Holy Synod of the Greek Church of the management year 2015. Particularly noted that the payment of taxes spent € 3.436.438,01.

The next meeting of the Standing Holy Synod of the 160th Synodal Period, under the new composition, defined for the period from 5 to September 7, 2016.
