Konstantinovka: Court reaffirms the right of believers to UOC church
In Kharkov, the court confirmed the ownership right of the UOC believers to the church in spite of the appeal of the UOC-KP, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
July 19, the Donetsk Economic Court of Appeal in Kharkov held a meeting on the case of seizure of the Sretensky Church of the town of Konstantinovka by the representatives of the UOC-KP.
Following the review of this claim, the court decided to reject the appeal of the representatives of the Kiev Patriarchate, who asked to annul the decision of the Economic Court of the Donetsk region in the city of Kharkov of May 16, 2016, and leave the judgment of 16 May 2016 in force.
As reported, the court heard arguments on both sides. In connection with the appeal of the Kiev Patriarchate, the court noted that their party would do well to provide actual evidence to support their claim but not pictures from the site of the UOC diocese of Gorlovka.
Recall, on May 16, 2016, the Economic Court of the Donetsk region in Kharkov decided that the minutes of the meeting of the parish council of the Sretensky Church of April 2015 are not valid due to the illegality of their revision. Representatives of the UOC-KP filed an appeal to the Donetsk Economic Court of Appeal in Kharkov.
