UOC parish of St. Ilya has no relation to embezzlement at Chernobyl NPP

The reference to St. Ilya parish of Slavutich town in the investigation against SSE "Chornobyl NPP" officials regarding the embezzlement of public funds is unfounded and incorrect. This was stated by the church rector Archpriest John Shepida, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

"DSP Chernobyl NPP management did not transfer funds into the account of St. Ilya parish," explained Archpriest John Shepida and added that the references to the parish he is in charge of in the case investigation materials regarding the embezzlement of public funds by SSE "Chornobyl NPP" officials is groundless and incorrect on the part of the National police chief investigative management of Ukraine.

The priest noted that the parish has never transferred funds into the accounts of foreign companies: "It's easy enough to check, taking the statements of bank accounts of St. Ilya parish."

Recall that on June 29 the media reported the information that the accounts of St. Ilya parish of Slavutich town were used for financial transactions around the SSE "Chornobyl NPP".
