Catholic Bishop: LGBT Groups do not Stop until they Destroy Christian Beliefs
LGBT campaign for equal rights poses a serious threat to Christianity, having gone out of control, Bishop Fabian Bruskevits, a former head of the Diocese of Lincoln, said in an exclusive interview to LifeSite News, as it was reported by Christiantoday.
He stressed that Christians have already been persecuted for disapproval of same-sex marriages and upholding their religious views on marriage, family and morality. "The bakers refused to make a cake for a gay wedding and, as a result, they were jailed and fined. They will have to leave their business ", – said Bruskevits.
He also said that Catholic military chaplains have expressed concern that for refusing to recognize same-sex marriage they may be punished up to long-term imprisonment. "These persecutions will continue in the near future. And I think that they will not cease. As soon as someone tries to protest, they are labeled fanatics and racists, and God knows what stuff is pinned on them. So this is the danger of persecution. I think it is coming on", – he said.
Bruskevits thinks that gay rights groups will not stop until they destroy Christian beliefs. "I am convinced that every effort will be put to destroy all Christian that is in the slightest opposition to this kind of degeneration," – said the Catholic priest.
The Roman Catholic bishop feels concerned about the fact that the US government supports the LGBT community. From the point of view of the Catholic hierarchy, sexual minorities do not just require a tolerant attitude towards them, but the consent and support of "perversion, which is contrary to normal people."
